Where it all started.

Through a mini grant from the Black Child Legacy Campaign in Arden Arcade, our Founder bought and distrubuted multicultural books to families in the community at grocery giveaway sites in 2020 & 2021.

Through grants from the California State Library, and the Sacramento Region Community Foundation we developed our second traveling exhbit on 20th century Japanese-Americans of the Sacramento region, and gave out books covering the history and experience of Asian Amercans and Pacific Islanders.i

2023 Farm 2 Fork Workshops





Through the Health Careers Exploration Program grant from the California department of Health Care Access & Information, we created an educational workshop for youth that promoted the contributions of health professionals of color who helped advance nutrition and farm to fork culture in California.

2023 Curriculum development





Commissioned by the Center for Sacramento History to create lesson plans and materials to accompany a short film on John Sutte: the first developer in the region. The film was created to promote previously excluded perspectives from the Native tribes of Sacramento about Mr. Sutter.



2024 - Land for the stateless





Land for the Stateless is a collection of Short Stories for youth about Californians who fought for Education Equality. The book highlights people of color who became educators and were instrumental in developing the Sacramento Region of California.
